But wait, there’s more…

It’s  National Family History Month and we have one more treat in store for you.  Heather Garnsey, Executive Officer at The Society of Australian Genealogists will be the guest speaker at our August Meeting.  You can read about Heather and her involvement in the genealogy world in this interview from last year.

We look forward to seeing you and your friends at this event.

Heather Garnsey

Congratulations Coral

Yesterday, when I logged in to Facebook there was a post from The Society of Australian Genealogists that included a photo of graduates of the Diploma in Family Historical Studies course that is run by the Society.

Graduates receive Diplomas from SAG President, Marty Killion.

Coral receives her  Diploms from SAG President, Marty Killion.

This course that is highly recognised in Australia is quite rigorous.  Students are required to undertake several tasks including submission of a thesis on an approved topic that is twenty thousand (20,000) words in length.

Thanks to Heather Garnsey from The Society of Australian Genealogists for sharing  photos from the event.
