Irish Talk at Hornsby

Dr Perry McIntyre is joining us to speak on Irish Research at our meeting on July 19 at 2:00pm at Hornsby Central Library .

After hearing Perry in 2014 I, your blogger, wrote:

1. She has a wicked, dry sense of humour.
2. She knows her topic inside out.
3. She is a non-boring academic type.
4. She is obsessed with her topic.
5. Perhaps she should have been named Colleen.
6. She is the Chair of the Great Irish Famine Commemoration Committee (GIFCC) which is actively seeking information about Earl Grey’s Irish Workhouse Immigrant women.

We expect this FREE event to be quite popular so we are taking bookings via TryBooking.

Members and fellow genies are most welcome to attend but you must book prior to the event. Details are here: https://www.trybooking.com/book/event?eid=274014

Bring your pennies with you as Perry will have books available for sale on the day.

Thanks to the folk at Hornsby Library for their help in organising publicity and bookings.
